We’ve been having record-setting dry conditions in California (since records started being kept back in 1849)…. we need rain! Perhaps this situation contributed to my creating this painting where I created a composite involving a pre-Columbian rain deity (Chaac, for the Maya, Tlaloc for the Mexica) that was associated with abundance, storms, lightning bolts, and the symbol/logo of DC Comics’ superhero Shazam (the yellow lightning bolt) emblazoned on his eye-popping, overly-saturated red shirt.
Fun! It may work!!!
