In Bliss

In Bliss

“IN BLISS”
MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS
48 x 46 in © 1996 GABRIEL NAVAR

Another early painting from 1996. It features a female figure from three different perspectives, the figures overlapping one another – all in a state of bliss and “thankfulness”, as well as hope. The painting is a sort of ode to the possibilities of “wishes coming true”.

  1. I love the way you’ve portrayed the three figures here, expressing that sense of happiness, gratitude, and hope you describe. And the way you’ve painted the raised arms kind of reminds me of a bird getting ready to take off in flight; the painting also makes me think of a sense of acceptance of the past, present, and future. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece.
