This is another self-portrait completed in 1994. I also included my family in the background ( the decapitated heads of my family members hanging on a vein-thread, linking and suspending us as a family unit ). The hanging heads (as morbid as it may be) represent the mental connections that we share, for example, the notion of kindred memories. The entire visual concoction is not unlike something out of a (nightmarish) dream… a somnambulist “mind-tropolis” where many busy, surrealist elements co-exist.
